To Chicago or Not to Chicago?
AMAZING CITY! Great opportunity, and I found this great place called The Buckingham where I can live. I can't wait to move there for the summer. The internship is going to be so fun because the department is small so I get to be involved in everything. Also, the guy I would be working for used to be a creative director at an agency there. And...HE SAID HE WOULD GET ME AN INTERVIEW AT THE AGENCY! I don't remember the name, it started with a B. What if I stay there? It is so crazy to think that in a month I will be living in Chicago.

Liminal Moments
Was the introduction of the iPad a liminal moment; was it a point in the advertising world where once it was introduced we could never go back? A liminal moment similar to loosing your virginity, getting a tattoo, getting married, or divorced. I am sitting in my multimedia graphics class as we are discussing, and listing examples of these pivotal moments. A recent article in Ad Week, suggests that the hype of iPad hasn't lived up to its reality. The iPad audience is small, and its abilities have a limit. I wonder if this will be true in 1 year from now? This example also makes me wonder how important these liminal moments are to us at the time they happen. Maybe we build up these moments so much that when they happen its a let down. For example a wedding has been given such a great importance in life...what if it is not the best day of your life? Maybe the day is more important to you then you thought it would be.

Blog Mess
NY! Love that place! I went there at the beginning of last week, and I had the time of my life. I could just get energy from the city when I walked outside, no need for coffee! Not that I didn't get any while I was there. After NYC all of us in the pic went to NOLA :) best time ever! There is never a dull moment in New Orleans. It inspirational all around. I feel more comfortable with the future because now I know that I want to be an art director at a big ad agency. Its relieving to finally know. Now I need to give the rest of my life some direction...

Fact of Facebook
I just watched The Social Network, it is be far one of my favorite movies of all time. However, aside from the stunning examples of how to use power, it is rather eye opening. This site started in the dorm room of a college drop out, who moved to Palo Alto is now the most visited site. I check my facebook as much as I do the time. Maybe that is a slight exaggeration, but most of my brilliant thoughts come to me as facebook statuses. When my friends and I go out we take pictures for the purpose of getting a new profile pic. When hanging out do you ever think: Is that funny thing you said status worthy, should it be the name of a photo album, or is it good enough to put in my quotes section so I can have it for all time? Is the power of facebook good or bad? When you look into it facebook now interconnects everything on the web. Comment boxes can be hosted through facebook. It is easily editable by users making it a great tool for SEO. Website registration can now be done through the users facebook sign on. Website users can share the site with all of their friends by simply liking it. After thinking about all of this I have a crazy thought: Why is it only worth $25 Billion?

You and Tequila Make Me Go Crazy
Right now my life is a mystery, and I can't stop listening to "You and Tequila" by Kenny Chesney. My life is like a shot of tequila without the lime or salt; its good, but not as good as it could be. There are so many unanswered questions, and doubts. What classes should I take? Should I study abroad? Where should I go, and what should I study? I miss having the certainty I used to have. But one thing I do is that I am getting restless. I need to break free, and do something unexpected. What if I don’t take classes this semester? Or next? If I take the summer off I won’t graduate next spring, but how important is that? I could go on and on… If someone asked me what I wanted to do when I graduate all I would have to offer him or her is a blank stare. In this lifetime I just want to fall in love and love what I am doing.

My Embarrassing Streak...
As I mentioned earlier I had to leave the boy behind who suddenly attached himself to me like a barnacle to a boat. As any good sea woman I had to clean him off; I had to rip off his emotional band-aid. I didn't want to destroy his life long dreams (I know I'm being dramatic) so I initially went with "Thanks for asking me how my day is twice a day, but I'm not texting back" approach...it didn't work. I gave him three days where he texted me without any reply so eventually I sent him a "let's be friends message." As I expected he said something like "oh that's good"--Then why are you so concerned with my well being?? Then next time I saw him he still had that twinkle in his eye as he kissed my cheek...oh dear.
But now!....He is in a relationship?!? Its great for him, he obviously found a girl that is all for is clingy, overly sincere personality. Glad that girl is not me, but this all went down a week ago. Leading to two conclusions: Him and her just moved that quickly, or he was hanging out and clinging on both of us at the same time! That is a lot of checking in on his part. Either way...I dodged that bullet.
To make matters worse this a recurring theme in my life. Over the summer a similar situation happened except he became engaged! A bit more extreme, and he even though he told me it was legit I later found out it was a joke...? Regardless intense background checks will now be done on any guy who even asks for my number.

My First Masterpiece.
About a week ago someone asked me what my favorite song was. I couldn't think of it then, but here it is. I love the melody, and the biblical allusions. It is relatable on so many levels. LOVE IT!!
