C is for Cupcake Addiction

I have recently formed an addiction to cupcakes! I have to have at least one a day now (this is why I run).  In Chicago there are several gourmet cupcake shops that offer flavors like Cosmo, Cookie Dough, Peach Cobbler, and Dulce de Leche.  Its hard to resist.  Now I worry that I will go into serious withdrawals when I get back to Salt Lake City because there aren't any cupcake stores there that are as good as the ones here, in Chicago.  Maybe I'll just have to break down and learn how to bake?

P is for P-I-M-P

On my way to and from work I notice most of the differences between Chicago and Salt Lake City.  In Chicago the crosswalks are pointless.  Also, here you better know the fastest way to get from point A to point B, even if that means you get in the right turn lane only to speed up going straight through the light when it changes while cutting the other cars off.  I have also been able to take a glimpse into a culture different than my own.  I drive through not so nice areas with torn apart roads and buildings.  I feel a little like a Packer fan at a Bears game because I obviously don't belong there...the Utah plates give it away.  One day on my way home a really took a look out of my car window, and I definitely saw a pimp because he sure did have the swag.  (On a side note I met my first nun, and love her!)

C is for Chi-Town

That was the only "Welcome to Illinois" sign we could find...There was construction so maybe the real one was taken down.

We went on this amazing Architecture Tour.  Chicago has such an amazing history!

F is for Fargo

Welcome to North Dakota! They boast to have the biggest cow, buffalo, prairie dog farm, and metal sculptures.  I was waiting all day to get a picture of the one above, its a classic.

Chicago Bound - Day 1 (SLC to Bozeman)

Hopefully there it won't snow in Chicago, but this is what it looked like in my neighborhood in Park City before I left.

Almost there!

Love this family!  So I happy we were able to stay with them. Candi and Charlie are the best parents, and Amelia is cheer leading bound.  Liam and Aidan showed me all there toys, and are going to be the next major rock stars.  Watch out world!
