R is for Red Velvet

One word: DELICIOUS.  Not to toot my own horn, but I make the best red velvet cupcakes I have ever tasted.  There may be someone out there, Paula Dean comes to mind, who can make them better than I can.     However, Paula and I have never met.  Therefore, I am going to stay true to may statement that I make the best I have ever tasted.  Also, it is important for you to know that I love to make these cupcakes.  If you call me at 2 in the morning and ask, "Dear, sweet Abby, will you pretty please make me some red velvet cupcakes right now,"  I may actually consider it.  The sweet talking helps.  My goal is to make at least 5 different kinds of cupcakes that are as delicious as my red velvet cupcakes.

D is for Direction

Since my last post many, many days ago my life has encompassed a new direction.  If some random, old man in corduroys (all random men wear corduroys) came up to me one year ago and said, "Hello little missy.  Where will you be in one year?" I would have smiled nicely, and told him, "Oh, I'll still be in school and hopefully have an internship."  And of course I would have said this in an overly loud voice with zealous annunciation because I always assume that anyone over 70 cannot hear.  It is the curse of having one very deaf grandmother.

Anyway, as I was saying, a year ago I was not sure of my direction.  What I thought I wanted is most certainly not where I am.  For starters, I have a new hobby - cupcake making. (I mentioned this before) And since my return to Salt Lake City I have...wait for it...started my own company!  It is an S corporation called Artig & Associates, Inc.  The website is now in the works.  I have one client with the potential for another very soon.

F is for a Few of my Favorite Things

1. Mashable.com
It is amazing how much information you can find on Mashable. It has become my go to source while researching the latest online marketing and social media strategies.  Mashable is there so save the day when the classroom can't teach you the "what's really going on now in marketing."

2. Twitter
Right now I am following a variety of people working in online marketing and business.  Its fascinating to be able to go onto twitter an learn from the experts.  I get to learn what they learn right when its discovered.  I can apply for an entry level position knowing that I have an upper hand, plus I have found great job listings on there.

3. Kitchen Aid mixer
As i mentioned before I have really gotten into cupcakes.  Now I am making them, and I have my eye on a kitchen aid mixer.  Its not a luxury its a necessity, it really is!
P.s. My birthday is September 24th and my dream mixer is a Professional 600 in ice blue.
